Research at ILC is:

  • interdisciplinary, based on the synergy between Linguistics, Computational Linguistics and Computer Science;
  • both basic and applied, the results of which are combined dynamically within a virtuous circle;
  • organized along two orthogonal lines defining the areas of competence and fields of application, typically represented by the projects.

The valorization and capitalization of multidisciplinary research, the dynamic integration of  basic and application-oriented research, and the strategic balance of competence and experience represent three strongly correlated and at the same time fundamental requirements for innovative research.
