Thursday 11th October 2018, at the Auditorium of the Pisa Research Area of ​​the National Research Council of Italy, the Celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Institute for Computational Linguistics “A. Zampolli” will be held.
The event will retrace the history of the Institute, showing its role within the scientific communities of Computational Linguistics and Digital Humanities at the national and international levels and its intertwining with social, economic, educational and cultural activities of strategic relevance for the country. The current lines of research and development and the related objectives will be shown directly by the voice of researchers, through the illustration and demonstration of the results achieved, the future developments and the impact on society.
Celebrating today the Institute of Computational Linguistics also means remembering its founder, Prof. Antonio Zampolli, 15 years after his death. A session will be dedicated to him, in which friends and colleagues will share, in an informal way, testimonies and memories.
