Cultural Heritage Resources Orienting Multimodal Experiences

Type of project: National  |  Start date: 05/02/2017  |  End date: 04/02/2020

It is a 3-years project carried out by ILC-CNR together with the University of Naples “Federico II”, the University “Roma Tre”, the University of Salerno and the Institute of Applied Sciences and Intelligent Systems of the National Research Council of Italy (ISASI-CNR).

The main objective of the project is the elaboration of a methodology for collecting, representing and analyzing multimodal data relating to the cultural heritage and presenting them through artificial agents whose behaviour is inspired by an accurate analysis of expert guides, museum curators and tour operators.

The project, jointly carried out by humanists and computer scientists, will allow to model the behaviour that museum attendants adopt when presenting the cultural heritage.

Such a model will be used to control a humanoid robot designed to follow such strategies of presentation.
