Gender and Number

Within this category, two groups are recognised, exemplifed by the following:

  1. `ver-o/-a', `ver-i/-e'.
  2. `dolce', `dolci'.

This second group is given the value n (common) for gender in the lexicon, whereas in the corpus it can sometimes be disambiguated by the gender of the noun (see the Italian noun section).

Some adjectives are completely invariable: they have the tag nn for Gender and Number in the lexicon. Adjectives derived from Adverbs (`dappoco', `dabbene', etc.) belong to this group.
