Preliminary Recommendations

Type

The verbs `avere' and `essere' are marked as auxiliaries. It should be noted that an automatic tagger is not able to disambiguate the cases in which these verbs function as full verbs from the cases when they are auxiliaries:

``il bambino é a casa'' (`the child is at home')
``Io ho un cane'' (`I have a dog').
