"MILE (Multilingual ISLE Lexical Entry)
as a Step towards Sharable Multilingual Resources"

Pisa, Grand Hotel Duomo, 2nd-3rd December 2002
organised by the CLWG with the support of CPR (Pisa), ILC-CNR (Pisa), ISSCO (Geneva) and UPenn (Philadelphia)

The Computational Lexicons Working Group of the ISLE project is organising - with the support of the Consorzio Pisa Ricerche (Pisa), the Istituto di Linguistica Computazionale del CNR (Pisa) and the Institut Dalle Molle pour les Etudes Sémantiques et Cognitives (Geneva) - a workshop entitled "MILE (Multilingual ISLE Lexical Entry) as a Step towards Sharable Multilingual Resources", which will take place in Pisa on 2nd-3rd December 2002.

The Workshop will be dedicated to the presentation and discussion of the final results of the Computational Lexicons Working Group, but it also aims at raising discussions on key issues for lexical resources.

The main topic will be the standardisation of multilingual lexical resources and the Computational Lexicons Working Group would like to tackle it from different perspectives: industrial requirements, ISLE results and national projects, relations with other communities (e.g. ontologies, semantic Web), metadata for lexical resources, enlargement to non-European languages (e.g. Asian languages), future initiatives in the field of Language Resources, etc..
