Value dem

This value refers to demonstrative determiners.

Semantic criterion:

- they are used to indicate someone or something, taking three coordinates as a reference point: space, time and the relation closeness-distance.

Morphological criterion:

- when used as determiners, the demonstratives agree in gender and number with the connected noun.

Syntactic criteria:

- the demonstrative is incompatible with the definite and indefinite article;
- in the NP it always takes the first position:
quel libro (NP=DET-dem NOUN) non e' in vendita
quel libro rosso (NP=DET-dem NOUN ADJ) non e' in vendita
indossa quel vestito mio (NP=DET-dem NOUN DET-poss)
ho visto questi due bambini (NP=DET-dem NUM NOUN)
