The value relative is used to encode relative pronouns.
Syntactic criterion:
- the relative pronoun has the function of relating
the subordinate sentence with the governing sentence,
representing an element of this last one, called ``antecedent": the
antecedent can be constituted by a noun, a pronoun, a verb, a whole
sentence, e.g. il libro
che leggo e' noioso; tu, che sei un dottore; il perdonare,
che e' un
dovere di ogni uomo; ci sara' anche un'escursione, il che non
guasta.
