{"id":299,"date":"2024-02-20T17:06:02","date_gmt":"2024-02-20T16:06:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ilc.cnr.it\/lucet\/?page_id=299"},"modified":"2024-02-23T14:16:52","modified_gmt":"2024-02-23T13:16:52","slug":"expected-results","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.ilc.cnr.it\/lucet\/expected-results\/","title":{"rendered":"EXPECTED RESULTS"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The project aims to promote <strong>an integrated, multi-level, and systematic approach to Linguistic Complexity (LC)\/Processing Difficulty (PD) in Italian<\/strong> and is expected to produce the following outcomes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>global and domain-specific measures of LC accounting for morphological, syntactic, and lexical dimensions;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>a set of standardized procedures to assess LC in texts written by Italian grade 13 students, native and non-native speakers, with typical and atypical language development;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>a set of standardized procedures to assess the comprehension and processing of texts with variable complexity levels; empirical evidence of the relationships between LC and text comprehension and processing in different populations; empirical evidence of the relationships between LC features in written production and reading comprehension skills in different populations;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>empirical evidence of the role of LC (interacting with other text features, task demands and respondent skills) in predicting performances in a large-scale assessment of reading comprehension;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>algorithms and software prototypes for operationalizing LC, in particular for the extraction of multi-level LC features and for assessing potential PD in the target populations;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>reference resources for Italian, including the annotated corpora used for studying LC effects on comprehension and production, elicitation tests, data collected from different populations;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>research-based recommendations to enhance awareness of LC and PD in school contexts, with the aim of improving formative assessment, development of instructional material, evaluation and teaching of reading comprehension skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The project aims to promote an integrated, multi-level, and systematic approach to Linguistic Complexity (LC)\/Processing Difficulty (PD) in Italian and&hellip;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":3,"featured_media":434,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"inline_featured_image":false,"footnotes":""},"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v23.5 -
