The project aims to provide a full-fledged Social Sciences and Humanities Open Cloud (SSHOC) where data, tools and training are available and accessible for users of SSH data.<\/div>\n
The focus of the project is determined by the goal to further the innovation of the infrastructural support for the digital scholarship, to stimulate a multidisciplinary collaboration across the various subfields of SSH and beyond, as well as to increase the potential for the societal impact.<\/div>\n
The intention is to create a European open cloud ecosystem for Social Sciences and Humanities, consisting of an infrastructural and human component.<\/div>\n
The development, realisation and maintenance of user-friendly tools and services, covering all the aspects of the full research data cycle, will be built taking into account a human-centric approach and creating links between people, data, services and training.<\/div>\n
SSHOC will encourage secure environments for sharing and using sensitive and confidential data.<\/div>\n
Where relevant, the results of the H2020 project “EOSC-hub” will be adopted.<\/div>\n
SSHOC will contribute to the Open Science agenda and realize the EOSC.<\/div>\n
This project aligns with the prescribed cluster activities in order to realize a SSH cloud that can fully encompass an infrastructural support for the study of social and cultural phenomena.<\/div>\n
Moreover, the planned SSH cloud is instrumental to Europe’s multilingualism; data in Europe are often available in multiple languages, thus making a strong incentive for the comparative research of the societal and cultural phenomena that are reflected in the language use.<\/div>\n
The SSH cloud shall contribute to the innovations stemming from the coupling of these heterogeneous data types and work on the FAIR principle of interoperability.<\/div>\n
ILC-CNR in SSHOC<\/strong><\/div>\n
One of the main objectives of WP3 – Lifting Technologies and Services into the SSH Cloud<\/em> is to improve access to reliable and open data and tools enabling new research across all scientific disciplines; this is reached through the establishment of global standards, ontologies and interoperability for scientific data.<\/div>\n
ILC-CNR will lead the Task 3.1 – Multilingual Terminology<\/em>, aiming at providing backgroud resources and tools in order to support the development of services in view of a pan-European infrastructure; within this Task, ILC-CNR will lead the Subtasks T3.1.2 – Multilingual document collection<\/em> and T.3.1.3 – Multilingual metadata and taxonomies for discovery<\/em>.<\/div>\n
The Deliverable D3.9 – Report on Ontology and Vocabulary Collection and Publication<\/em> falls under the responsibility of ILC-CNR and is expected at the month M36.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
