{"id":6968,"date":"2022-08-12T02:03:41","date_gmt":"2022-08-12T00:03:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ilc.cnr.it\/progetti\/clarin\/"},"modified":"2022-08-12T02:03:41","modified_gmt":"2022-08-12T00:03:41","slug":"clarin","status":"publish","type":"progetti","link":"https:\/\/www.ilc.cnr.it\/en\/progetti\/clarin\/","title":{"rendered":"CLARIN"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The ultimate goal of <span class=\"links\">CLARIN<\/span> was the construction and operation of a shared distributed infrastructure aiming at making language resources and technologies available to the humanities and social sciences research communities at-large.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The project Preparatory Phase paved the way to the implementation of the infrastructure along four dimensions.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Funding and Governance<\/em><br \/>The aim is to bring together funding agencies and to work out a ready-to-sign draft agreement among funding agencies in the participating countries about governance, financing, construction and operation of the infrastructure.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Technical<\/em><br \/>The technical objective is to provide a detailed specification of the infrastructure, an agreement on data and interoperability standards to be adopted and a running, validated prototype based on these specifications. The validation should cover technical, linguistic and user-related aspects.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Language<\/em><br \/>For the validation the prototype will be populated with a selection of language resources and technologies for all participating languages.
