Gra. fo Reloaded proceeds with the vivification of the Tuscan oral archives by placing them within a federation of different actors that are involved in different ways in the chain of the Cultural Heritage conveyed by the voice: University of Siena<\/a>, Soprintendenza Archivistica e Bibliografica della Toscana<\/a>, Fondazione Sistema Toscana<\/a>, Ecomuseo della Montagna Pistoiese<\/a>, Cnr-Istituto di Linguistica Computazionale \u201cAntonio Zampolli\u201d<\/a> e CLARIN-IT<\/a>, the Italian node of the European CLARIN infrastructure, which guarantees long-term preservation and a connection with other European centres and international research communities.<\/p>\n\n

Archives recovered from a previous PAR-FAS project will be made accessible again, \nthanks to their integration into a newly developed ecosystem of Tuscan oral archives. Gra.fo Reloaded aims at linking the institutional efforts of preservation and dissemination to the community of researchers: archives of scholars and enthusiasts will be surveyed and quantified, in order to measure the extent of the underground archives in need of rescue and preservation actions; at the same time, the new archival resources and the infrastructure of Archivio Vi.Vo<\/a> will be promoted.<\/p>\n\n

Gra.fo Reloaded will have a direct impact on the promotion of the territory and the development of tourism in small localities: oral archives will be (re)used to involve local communities in the creation of participatory and unusual tourism routes. Thanks to the use of open-access platforms based on augmented reality principles, the voices of the past will come alive in the experiences of visitors, who will be able to observe points of interest through the eyes of the communities that preserve their historical and “human” memories.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
