{"id":10498,"date":"2022-06-13T10:29:55","date_gmt":"2022-06-13T08:29:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ilc.cnr.it\/cnr-ilc-for-school\/"},"modified":"2026-03-23T11:21:23","modified_gmt":"2026-03-23T10:21:23","slug":"cnr-ilc-for-school","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.ilc.cnr.it\/en\/cnr-ilc-for-school\/","title":{"rendered":"CNR-ILC FOR SCHOOL"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Computational Linguistics (LC) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) help address the central challenges of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.istruzione.it\/scuola_digitale\/index.shtml\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Digital School<\/a><\/strong> by offering new teaching tools and teaching and learning methodologies based on cutting-edge technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Methods, tools and techniques developed at the <strong>Cnr-Istituto di Linguistica Computazionale &#8220;Antonio Zampolli&#8221;<\/strong> can be applied in several areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>teaching<\/strong>; <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>learning<\/strong>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>digital school publishing.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:13px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ilc.cnr.it\/en\/cnr-ilc-for-school\/solutions-for-school\/\">SOLUTIONS FOR SCHOOL<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Collaborations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>CNR-ILC<\/strong>&#8216;s initiatives and pilot projects carried out in collaboration with universities, research institutes and schools of different order and grade levels highlight the <strong>strong innovative potential of Natural Language Processing (NLP) technologies in the educational field.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The beneficiaries are teachers and students, as well as digital school publishers and companies engaged in the development of platforms for the generation, use and distribution of educational content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The innovative potential of NLP in addressing the new scientific and technological challenges related to education therefore has an impact on teaching and learning processes, particularly in these areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>evaluation of learning processes and their evolution;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>creation of customised learning paths;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>language teaching within multilingual contexts;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>use of LC resources and technologies for teaching classical languages.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:13px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>CNR-ILC<\/strong> has collaborated with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indire.it\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>National Institute for Documentation, Innovation and Educational Research (INDIRE)<\/strong><\/a>, a reference point for educational research in Italy, and with several educational institutions, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ic-sanmarco.edu.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Istituto Comprensivo \u201cSan Marco dei Cavoti\u201d<\/strong><\/a>, San Marco dei Cavoti (BN)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.iismedilivatino.edu.it\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Istituto d&#8217;Istruzione Superiore \u201cMedi-Livatino\u201d<\/strong><\/a>, San Bartolomeo in Galdo (BN)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.liceogargallo.edu.it\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Liceo &#8220;Tommaso Gargallo&#8221;<\/strong><\/a>, Siracusa<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.liceopaleocapa.edu.it\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Liceo Scientifico Statale &#8220;P.
