I will present the results of the work carried out during my internship at the ItaliaNLP Lab which we will be part of my master’s thesis. The goal of the thesis is to develop methods for monitoring the evolution of the written language competence of Italian students. For this purpose, I applied machine learning techniques on a corpus which contains essays from different lower secondary schools in Rome. I will describe the corpus of essays, the linguistic features which can be automatically extracted from and the features selection criteria. At last, I will show the obtained results and how they could be used to handle some experimental pedagogy issues.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
