Irene Russo and Paola Vernillo from the Cnr-Istituto di Linguistica Computazionale “Antonio Zampolli” (CNR-ILC) are invited to present “Seeing the unsaid: Visualizing English idioms with text-to-image generation” (Section 2: Idioms, metaphors and terminology, 20 November 2025, 3:20 – 3:40 PM) at the 1st International Workshop on Language and Language Models (WoLaLa) that will take place in Budapest on 20–21 November 2025.
WoLaLa is an interdisciplinary initiative launched by the ELTE Research Centre for Linguistics to build a lasting community at the intersection of culture, language and artificial intelligence. The workshop serves as both a showcase and incubator for fresh, critical perspectives on how large language models (LLMs) shape and are shaped by humanistic inquiry.
