The International Conference 'Philodemus’ On Rhetoric Uncertain Book (PHerc. 1004)' will take place at the Centro Caprense Cerio in Capri from 16:00 of Wednesday 1^st to 13:00 of Saturday 4^th September 2021.

The event, organized by the University of Pisa and CNR and co-financed by the European Research Council and the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, is promoted by Graziano Ranocchia (CNR-ISPC) and Christian Vassallo (University of Calabria) and sponsored by the National Library "Vittorio Emanuele III" of Naples and the Municipality of Capri.

The event aims to discuss, together with authoritative specialists of Ancient Rhetoric, of Stoicism and Epicureanism, the new critical edition of PHerc. 1004, currently under preparation as part of the ERC-ADG 'GreekSchools' project, led by Graziano Ranocchia and coordinated by the University of Pisa in collaboration with CNR-ILC, CNR-ISPC and the Italian Ministry of Culture.
