Next: Confusion with other pos-values

- The indefinite article belongs to the paradigm of un.
Before an adjective which is placed
in anteposition to a noun, the plural form des is not used, but the form de.
Given X an article,
If X belongs to the paradigm of un, X is an indefinite article.
- un /pos=art & type=indf lion
- une /pos=art & type=indf vache
- des /pos=art & type=indf chiens
- de /pos=art & type=indf beaux enfants
Remarks:
- In some contexts, the morphological unit des may have partitive value.
We decided to consider des
always as indefinite article, and not in some contextes as partitive article,
because it is not obvious to handle the
disambiguisation between an indefinite and a partitive article.
- Je mange de la /type=part salade et des /type=indf haricots.
- We decided to consider un always as indefinite article and never as cardinal determiner, although
it may have this value in some contexts.
- Il a un /pos=article & type=indf chat et deux /pos=determiner & type=cardinal chiens
