- An article is a determiner which belongs to one of the paradigms
le (definite article), un (indefinite article) or du
(partitive article).
Remark: We don't make the distinction between the indefinite article un and
the cardinal determiner un. We consider un always as indefinite article.
Given X a determiner,
If X belongs to one of the paradigms le, un or du , X is an article.
- la /pos=article sagesse
- un /pos=article chat
- du /pos=article lait
- Like determiners, articles occupy the left end of a nominal syntagm.
