The value comparative applies to a closed list of qualificative
adjectives which form the comparative in a synthetic way:
buono-migliore-ottimo
cattivo-peggiore-pessimo
grande-maggiore-massimo
piccolo-minore-minimo
The comparative is constructed, for the most, in analitical way,
using the adverbs piu', meno, tanto, quanto and the positive
form of the adjective: mio figlio e' piu' grande (= maggiore) del
tuo.
